Set it up easily
To get equalizer work on Lollipop go to applications settings and select all applications. Find the MusicFX application, clear the Application data for this application and then install Equalizer FX. After that when you start the music player and select the music equalizer option new Equalizer FX will be available.

After going through a dozen apps that didn't work, a few dozen if you count the stolen copies of other apps, this one worked for me. I am hearing disabled. I have certain needs but ones that should be simple. I need rudimentary EQ control and above all, a real volume boost. This free app has only 6 bands of equalization and I was disappointed at first. After a few tweaks, I was able to set them exactly for my needs. The volume boost actually works! This is the ONLY program that can amplify the volume MORE than I need for most programs. There may be others but I haven't found them. Believe me I have tried. *There is one little glitch. Once I set EQ and volume there wasn't any volume boost until I disabled the EQ then re enabled it.* (I am stuck at Android 7 on an LG V30+. This problem could be because of Nougat and/or my phone) I have been using the app with 90% volume boost using my bluetooth buds to control the volume. Beyond around 75% boost the audio does get distorted, especially with any bass boost. For me, the ability to hear voices clearly are delivered by this app. Most people will NOT need the high volume that I need so distortion should not be a problem.
After many years of trial and randomly selecting audio applications that are subpar, at best, I happened upon Equalizer FX in the Play Store about four years ago. Throughout this time, I've had six or seven different phones, and this application has improved the sound quality of each of them. I continue to turn to Equalizer FX for the Motorola phone I now use, and it helps tremendously. Thank you for creating this application and continuing to update it in a timely manner.
Thank you, a basic equalizer allows me get the most out of all my sound systems. Cars, home theatres, computers, headphones and my portable devices. All have been fine tuned with its own custom presets. I get improved sound (fat bass) wherever I go and have been using this app for a few years now. I haven't had many issues besides some minor crashes. Ads are barely noticable too so for what it is, you guys get top marks from me. Cheers
I wanna rate 10 stars! I tried 4 other apps that popped up when I searched for an equalizer and they did nothing compared to this one! I have a 5 year old tablet and I started using it for movies and sometimes music until I realized how tin like its speakers were. With this app, OH does it make a difference... My tablet, except for the bass, sounds almost as good as my galaxy s10, with the right tuning. Hats down, great app!
I've tried many equalizer apps in the Play Store, but this works best for me. I play songs on Google Music, and I only ever play around with the equalizer and never the bass booster, loudness enhancer, and virtualizer. I got stellar results on my headphones using this app. The only thing is that you have to open this app before playing music to make sure it's running. But that's a small thing.
I've tried many different equalizer apps on my phone, and many didn't work with Spotify or wireless headphones and didn't preform good at all the bass didn't change!! But when I have downloaded this Equalizer FX and am I in love the best bass booster ever works with Spotify and stereo and wireless headphones best audio quality ever!! I recommend this for everyone!!
